The World Expo is the most significant international event in the exhibition business. It is not only the largest international exhibition of the latest scientific and technological achievements, but also a confluence of history, tradition and culture from all over the world.
From 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022, the World Expo will be organized in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The main theme of the Expo, "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future", will be used by participating countries as a tool to promote the message of global progress and sustainable development. The exhibition theme includes three interlinked sub-themes: Opportunity, Sustainability, Mobility, which constitute the three most important driving forces nowadays.
Belarus first exhibited at the 1998 World Expo in Lisbon, Portugal, then in 2000 in Hanover, Germany. However, Belarus' national pavilion was first presented in Shanghai, China, in 2010, followed by Milan, Italy, in 2015 and Astana, Kazakhstan, in 2017.
Belarus' pavilion at Expo 2020 will be located in the Opportunity zone and will occupy a total area of 1,200 square metres.
The concept of the Belarusian pavilion is built on three “I's” - “Innovations. Investments. Individual". These are three conditional zones of space spread across the floors. The "Innovation" zone will showcase the latest developments in science and technology. The "Investments" zone will present potential investment projects. In the "Individuality" zone visitors can learn about people who have contributed to the progress and development of Belarus, as well as learn about its history, culture, and tourism potential. Information will be presented on interactive screens, infokiosks, touchscreens, through holograms, five-sided projection, etc.
