Spain will abolish the compulsory wearing of masks outdoors from 26 June, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced.
"An extraordinary Council of Ministers is going to be held next Thursday in which it will be proposed to Spanish society that masks will not be obligatory in open spaces from Saturday 26 June", Sánchez said, speaking in Barcelona.
This will be the last weekend with face masks in the open air, the prime minister said.
