Belarus national pavilion to be presented at BakuBuild exhibition

Made in Belarus will be represented at the 26th BakuBuild exhibition, which will be held from 20 to 22 October in the capital city of Azerbaijan.

The event will be attended by five companies from Belarus, which will demonstrate products and services necessary for the development of the construction industry in Azerbaijan.

In particular, Energokomplekt will exhibit cable products and wires of various specifications. The companies Belenergoremnaladka and Belektromontazhnaladka will display technologies for reliable and efficient operation of power facilities, measuring equipment, automation equipment, vacuum breakers and more.

The OKB TSP research and production company will offer its own innovative technology for the construction of arch structures for various purposes, developed by specialists at Spetsmashinostroenie, a member of OKB TSP.

The company has already constructed 19 industrial buildings in Azerbaijan using this technology

Belgazstroy will present services for the construction and installation of engineering, transport and trunk infrastructure. The company is taking part in the exhibition remotely. In this case, the Azerbaijani visitors, if they are interested in the company's services or products, will be able to negotiate with its representatives via video conferencing.

According to Belinterexpo, construction companies of Belarus delivered over $3.5 million worth of products to Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2021.

This is 2.2 times more compared to the same period in 2020. Concrete and steel structures, equipment and spare parts made up the bulk of exports from the domestic construction sector to Azerbaijan in this period.

The construction sector in Azerbaijan is of considerable interest to Belarusian companies.

The sector ranks second after the oil sector in terms of government investment. In addition, there is a high demand for sawn timber in the country, and there is a simplified tax for companies in the sector.

Azerbaijan is also a profitable destination in terms of re-export of goods and occupies a special place in China's global logistics project "Belt and Road".

Thanks to the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, built in 2017, shipping times from China to Europe and back via Azerbaijan are halved compared to sea freight.

It is planned to transport more than 17 million tons of cargo annually," the company representatives stated.

Belinterexpo specialists added that such opportunities contribute to the promotion of goods from Europe to Central Asian countries:

  • Turkmenistan
  • Kazakhstan
  • Uzbekistan
  • Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan
  • Afghanistan

In 2019, it brought together 225 companies from 19 countries, including Germany, Russia, the USA, Turkey, China, China and Ukraine.

BakuBuild is Azerbaijan's largest specialised platform in the construction sector

The event is supported by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, the Small and Medium-sized Business Development Agency, the State Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning and a number of other agencies and companies.
